Just4Kicks 8-week K (4-5 y/o) CurriculumJust4Kicks-Solano Inc.Week 1 K Soccer Curriculum Expectations: Each child has 75-90 quality ball touches. Goal: understanding of hand rule, understanding of goal rules, understanding of whistle rule. Exposed to inside Feet Dribbling Coach Expectations: Be loud, fun, always with a smile, and confident. Goofy helps a lot! Activity 1: Pizza Game - 12-15 min. Description: Pizza game is simple yet imaginative. Two Circles "pizzas" about 20-25 steps apart. At first we run to each "pumping arms - looking forward - stay on your feet" 
2nd part is getting ball inside pizza. With ball "pepperonis" introduce inside feet and dribble pizza with inside feet. "stay inside pizza" 3rd part "look at that blue pizza..does it have pepperonis? NO...lets kicks these pepperonis inside the blue pizza...ready? Do we use hands??? put your hands in the air "no more Hands" Wait for my whistle... : Encourage - Positive Reinforcement ... try to use first names...Great Job! once you get to blue pizza praise them and practice inside feet inside blue pizza. Now go back to orange pizza. This time you are hungry for pepperonis and are going to eat them..Say "are you going to let me eat your pepperoni?" go around me inside feet - keep that ball close to you... Wait for my whistle... Encourage Encourage Praise Praise.... Show Goals - 5- min WITHOUT BALL go to a goal and explain what they are and make sure they understand that only soccer balls belong inside goals not kids...and no touching the net. test them by running to the goal on other side making sure they don't go inside and don't touch the nets. have them get a ball and on your whistle they will make a goal..after they can get a water break! Wait for whistle. Activity 3 - Bumper Cars (just to coach) 5 min using inside feet they dive their car (ball) to get close enough to your car(ball) to bump your car...No hands...inside feet...Keep it close to you... Put on teams (jerseys should be ready and counted)- send to goal - foot on ball wait for whistle and make goal... Ask each team which way they are going...they should point to correct direction.. do this once and if ready (and have time) for soccer play real soccer.. Before you play real soccer make sure all balls except one is on field and put your foot on ball and say "everybody point your finger to this ball..say "that's the ball...." In real Soccer we play with ONE BALL...NOW show me someone who is on your team...who is on the other team? send them to their goal and reinforce which way they are going and play!!! Make sure they hear your whistle! 3 minuted before class is over end game and everyone gets one ball - make goals on coach. Stamps...tell them they did a great job! Bye See you Next Week!
