Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What equipment does my child need to participate in your classes?

A. The only equipment required for all participants is shin guards. Soccer cleats are not REQUIRED, but they will help and...they look GOOD!!
NOTE:  Shin Guards are not required for your child’s first class.

Q.  Will our child need anything else?

A. Your child should dress in appropriate active wear; shorts, t-shirt, sweats, according to weather conditions. They will also need something to drink. We highly recommend water.

Q. What happens if it rains or is too hot?

A. Call our Weather Hotline (707) 592-0610 and listen to the recorded message. For the latest most up to date information call no earlier than 45 minutes before class.  If your class is canceled we will add a make-up class to the end of the regularly scheduled classes unless told otherwise.

Q.  Is there seating available for parents available?

A. Most of our locations DO NOT have seating, so we highly recommend bringing a lawn or outdoor folding chair. You will be there for at least 30 minutes.

Q.  Do I need to stay for the entire class?

A. If your child is comfortable without your presence and you return before class is over, you are not required to stay and watch.

Q.  Is this a league?

A. No. We are not a league. Our classes are designed to let the child explore their talents and develop a love for the game of soccer.  We emphasize sportsmanship and effort, while having fun! Many league players come to our program in the off-season to improve and maintain their “touch” on the ball.

Q.  Why only one day per week?

A. With today’s busy schedules and two income families, two practices and games on Saturdays can take a toll on a household. Just4Kicks. program allows parents to enjoy watching their child participate in an activity they enjoy, while the child gets to show off their newly acquired skills.

Q. What is your refund policy?

A. If you are a first time participant you have 2 weeks after the start of classes to get a full refund.  Any later than that is by a case by case basis. (Mountain House Only)  For all other cities you must contact your Parks & Recreation Department for their refund policy.
