Does the corner post have to stay in while a player is kicking the corner?

Hi-

Yes a corner post needs to stay on while taking corner post. It is a fixture of the field just like a ref or goal post. However, It is not enforced in you players or dev. leagues. I don't see why they would need to take the post out if it is appropriate width and placed correctly. Only thing I can think of is if the corner kick area is too small in which case I can see the post being in the way of a swinging leg.
